I think I'm a little desperate for a kick-in-the-pants when it comes to drawing.

Can I blame lack of time and lack of inspiration? Sure I can. Is it an excuse?...only as long as I let it be. Does anyone else have this problem? I know sometimes you get 'blank periods', and not that anythign I dish out is amazing, but I used to be at least half-way predictable with at least a quickie sketch. It really makes me sad, on a lot of levels. Ah well, I'll have to drag myself out

...But I'm setting out a little *art-suggestion-box* anyway...Y'know, if anyone decides to throw a prompt or tidbit my way -innocent eyes-

I have succeeded in a never-ending quest to find carbon paper. This should not be such a thrilling prospect,really. Though, after 3 stores ( two Staples and a RagShop,respectively) and 5 different salespeople/management (!) that hadn't a clue what I was talking about...I find the stuff in a chance meander through Michael's arts/crafts/decor.
This makes Lisha verrry happy at the find, and sad for humanity all in the same moment.
Safe to say that I'm a little in love with graphite paper now, as it's so much easier to transfer a sketch onto better paper or cardstock. It OWNS.

I think though, I need to start drawing for myself again. I love character drawings, and I have some great people who tell me to," Go with first instinct," after a very minimal description. BUT, I totally need to start charging for this crap haha. Dunno if I should. I don't think I'm 'up to par', so to speak, and would feel really horrible if I went to someone ( friend especially,after I went 'Ooo' over their character/idea whatever) and asked for even $5 for a sketch.

Yet the little part of me that screams ," Aahhhhh wallet hungry!" Is beating away too. I don't know. Opinions from anyone if they're reading this ramble? Would be much appreciated. Baby needs a new set of pens. Ha.

Ah well, that's having a minor strop about a boring existence Catch ya later,folks.

I've just found a lot of old art in the Elfwood account I'd thought was long buried and forgotten. ( aka it was completely abandoned )

Also...despite the fact that a lot of it is irrationally old (a few at least 6 years old?) I do kinda like some of them Sooo...any of you [un]lucky enough to pop in to the gallery gets to see/hate on them.


On another note...I don't think I draw guys enough. :/
